It is widely
believed that there are 79 organs; however, there is no universally standard
definition of what constitutes an organ, and some tissue groups' status as one
is debated.
Since there is
no single standard definition of what an organ is, the number of organs varies depending on how one defines
an organ. For example, this list contains much more than 79
different organs.
Here is the
list of 79 organs in a human body.

Also a new
organ named the mesentery has been discovered, the organ was
previously thought to consist of fragmented and disparate structures.
The mesentery is a
double fold of the peritoneum, which is the lining of the abdominal cavity. It
connects the intestine to the abdomen.
While the
mesentery’s specific function is still unknown, studying it as an organ could
lead to new discoveries about its impact on abdominal diseases.

Organ: It is a part of
an organism which is typically self-contained and has a specific vital
function.
However, there
is no single standard definition of what an organ is, the number of organs
varies depending on how one defines an organ.
But basically,
there are 78 known organs in the human body, the mesentery makes 79.
The mesentery
has recently been upgraded to an organ.
Mesentery is a
little-known double-layered sheet of abdominal connective tissue found in your
digestive system.
